Awkward conversation with your kids

Remember Adam Sandler's "Big Daddy"? He was so bummed out when he realized the child he was raising had become the stinky kid.

Sometimes I feel like that when my days all mash together and I don't realize that I probably should have given Charlie a bath a day or two ago.

But that's now, when it's up to me to make sure he doesn't "smell like a foot" as Big Daddy would say.

Have you gone through something like this with your older kids? And do you agree with the way the author of this article says you should handle it? Could you be this direct?

I'm always honest with my children. Our boys still need to be reminded to bath regularly. Our girls are pretty much self-sufficient in that area.
