My kids sleep better when...

Do your kids sleep better when you have a crazy active day or when you are calm and stick to a routine/schedule each and every day?

If I had to pick, I guess I would say active - but really my kids just don't sleep well at all if they don't go to bed in their magic hour (7:30-8:30 though we try to get them to sleep between 7:30-8 unless there's something special going on). If they fall asleep early because we were too active, or if they are up late we just don't get a good night out of them. It doesn't really matter what we do during the day as long as they are in bed at the right time. Ive heard both sides of the argument though, and wondering what is true for all of you!

Our children definitely bed down better after a full, active day. We try to stick to the same routine but living on a farm things come up with animals, weather etc. that throw us off so we've learned to be flexible. The children eventually catch up on their sleep.
