You're reading a book and you just don't love it...

Do you finish it to the end or give up after a certain point?

I just have to finish it, unless it's just awful and I forget to pick it back up and continue (which has happened). It's almost like bad sex, at least it was something to break the boredom, lol. Still, like bad sex, the world doesn't make sense again until you read a good book (or have good sex, or both).

I just finished two very "meh" books. I thought it might be smart to ask for recommendations for my next Kindle download. Ladies? Please help me break this dry spell.

It just depends. Sometimes I just cannot finish it, as much as I want to be the person that finishes what she starts.

I haven't read anything lately since The Waiting. I still have a couple of Kindle downloads from the monthly freebie offers waiting for me to read, plus a pile of actual books at my bedside.

What genre of book do you enjoy most?
I grab the freebies too. Sometimes they are great and other times not so much, lol.

I love historical fiction the most. Sometimes the YA section has some great books too. I'm not much into romance novels but every once in a blue moon I will read one. I used to love murder mystery type books but I think i burnt myself out on them. I like sci fi stuff, not aliens and such but werewolves and vampires are interesting.

You have a wide variety of interests. I like historical fiction too, but most of the ones I read are romance. It isn't so bad if they intermix romance, history and some mystery then it is more interesting!
I keep reading to the end, in the hopes that it gets better. As for Recommendations?
