Article: Baby Sign Language as an Attachment Tool

We taught our babies a few simple signs to help us teach them how to communicate their needs. At the time we didn't know about the bonding aspect as explained in this article, but it makes sense.

She explains that not only does signing help baby communicate but it creates an attachment bond between baby and parent. Not only that but they are discovering signing actually helps with verbal language development.

I know. They are learning even if they are not signing because some of ours out of the blue would start signing when we thought they hadn't learned it.
