Article: Woman Live-Tweets Birth That 'Hurts Like Hell'

She's not wrong about that quote, that's for sure.

This is an interesting article. A British marketing exec decided to live-tweet her labor, threw TMI to the wind, and gave an honest look at labor, 140 characters at a time.

I was sick a few months ago with a cold, and noticed that when I was focused on my phone, I coughed less--it distracted me from the tickle in my throat. While I realize there's a big difference between a coughing tickle and full-on labor, I wonder if there is any useful, pain-managing effect to being distracted with a phone?

Great brand consistency with the hashtag, too--not surprised this is from a marketing pro.

What do you think? I'd really like to hear from the people who would consider this!

You might have a point but I don't think I would do this. It just isn't me.

Wow, Instagram seems even more revealing than Twitter.
Hey whatever works. I didn't do this. I did update people on how things were going but I feel like that's normal. They did ask me with my youngest if I would mind if some residents came in to watch me give birth and I was fine with that because it is for a medical reason for people to watch my whole process. Unfortunately the baby took longer than expected and they didn't have them come into watch lol. But I don't know if I would document everything for social media.
