Coping with the loss of a child: where did you find support

I tried a grief counseling group with my first loss but found it rather empty and patronizing. The best thing about it was the suggestion to choose something to represent our baby an I chose the butterfly. So whenever I se butterflies I think of my lost babies and smile because I love butterflies. They are beautiful.

My husband was my support system.

With some of my losses our church supported us in helping with a memorial service or meals.

Mostly I had to learn my way through the grieving process. I grieved longer with my first loss an my 18 week loss.
