Article: Unforeseen Joy

Lucas was a planned baby, but many are not!!! Abigail sure wasn't!!! But like any parent, David embraced Abby as best he could. And a little while after she was born, he was completely in love with her and so over joyed. An unplanned baby can be hard to accept, but they are still a blessing!! I had to accept Abby too! David and I have been together 3 years and she's a little over 2 years old, and she's my step baby; you do the math. It's rough, but I believe babies, no matter how they get here, are a blessing. :)

This article has some tips on how to accept your new little bundle of unplanned joy. :)

Good article! I was pretty heartbroken when we found out that Erik was the father of an ex girlfriend's daughter. It was a stressful 2 months partly because the ex girlfriend kept postponing the appointment for her and daughter to get tested. And she claimed that Erik was the father AFTER the child was 2 years old.

Like you, I believe that all babies are a reward from heaven, a true blessing and should be treated as such. While Erik doesn't refer to this little girl as his daughter because he claims he is only a sperm donor, I am saddened by his reaction. I had to embrace the fact that she is his daughter whether she was made out of love or not. She is a product of God's love and God's creation.

My son wasn't planned but I was in love with him the moment we found out I was pregnant. Sure we were scared but we embraced it anyway. I have a step-daughter as well. I love her to bits. I dislike when people refer to their children as "accidents." I corrected others when they said that about my son. I say, instead, "unexpected blessing" or a "surprise blessing." My son is not an accident. God doesn't make accidents. :) Every child is meant to be.

I was upset when I found out I was pregnant with my son for financial reasons and we simply weren't ready for a third child. Eventually that passed and I would not go back and change a thing. I love my son so much! And he honestly made our family complete. As hard as things have been I don't know what I would do if he wasn't here to make me smile with his cute little face and toothless smile and adorable little giggle.
