These hands of mine!

So about two weeks after I had Tristen my hands started to go numb. The doctor thought that it was from the attempts at the epidural because I also had some nerve damage to my knees after and they said it's not actually carpal tunnel syndrome like I thought. But 16 months later the knee pain has long gone but the pain in my hands and the numbness still comes and goes. I did a few haircuts today and now my hands are hurting and almost completely numb. I found some yoga exercises that normally work like magic to make them feel better but don't work as well anymore. I'm not sure what to do. Any other Moms have nerve damage after having an epidural?

My old doctor said it would probably go away like the knee pain did and the new doctor didn't seem to think it was a big deal, but so far it hasn't gone away. That's why I've never gone back to doing hair. I start cutting and my hands just go to sleep on me.

I'm going to try when my husband gets insurance from his new job. I will have more options then. Because I don't trust it either.

I have tried the braces and they helped a little with the numbness but the pain is horrible. This morning I could barely open or close my hands.

Stay at home wife and Mom. I have an older step son that is an amazing young man. My husband and myself have a little boy and newborn girl. Balancing life isn't always easy but it's always worth it :-)
