Does miscarriage always start with cramping

Going through a miscarriage is slightly different for each woman. Some women will experience cramping first but some will experience bleeding first. Some women won't experience any symptoms at all and their doctor will diagnose their miscarriage.

Symptoms of a miscarriage can include:

- hCG not rising or is falling
- No fetal heart beat
- Vaginal bleeding or spotting
- Fluid or tissue passing from your vagina
- Abdominal pain or cramps

Thanks for the information, Katie! I have been lucky not to experience a miscarriage, but I have friends that have had cramps or no cramps. Every loss is different.

Some of mine were very similar to Taylor's, except for Matthew. We couldn't find a heart beat with him.
