GAH!!!

Adrianna is tired of us.. She is acting out more, typically happens within a few days of her going back or when she is tired of being here... I feel like I have a one year old testing her limits (Adrianna), a two year old who knows the rules better than the older two and a four year old who has endless bounds of energy but refuses to play outside because of bugs and birds....

Nope. It's a major attitude change and drives me crazy. We just got her to the point where she wasn't AS bossy.

This happens with my step-daughter. We get her on the weekends (her mother let's her do whatever she pleases so she doesn't like being told what to do and tries to boss us around). We do re-directing with her and one-on-one time as well we do re-directing because she has Downs but she has the attitude of a fifteen-year-old). I also have let her "pout it out" in her room or when she storms out on the porch, and she eventually gets over it. Not every method works for every child though. We get sassed, she has gotten violent with me and her father, we get sworn at, hateful words, etc.

I am not sure of your situation, but I understand your frustration--it is very stressful, frustrating, and tiresome. I want to run and hide at times, but I can't.

I took a bunch of Barbies and toys away that were hers away. Her and her cousin complained over the phone about their moms (my sister and I).. She hasn't been AS bad about it.. She goes back tomorrow for the weekend then I pick her up Monday and she goes back Friday. She'll be on a high from getting to go to rodeo with her uncle and a car show Saturday.
