Where to start as a WAHM work at home mom

Depending on the kind of work you do at home, you may require a quiet office or you may not, but it is good to have your own work area where you can keep all your work related things.

Establish a routine and boundaries with yourself, your family, friends and clients.

Set your hours and stick to them! If you are anything like me, being a work-a-holic can make work overtake your whole life and that's not a healthy place to be in for you or your family.

Where did you start when you became a WAHM?

I originally tried working in my office but realized that the kitchen counter became more effective when my son got older and didn't want to be in the pack and play in my office. The hardest part is having family and friends understand just because I work at home, doesn't mean I am available for you to drop in or call and expect me to answer whenever. I have business hours and try to stick to them as much as possible. The best part though is that because I am a WAHM for a great company I can make my own hours. I worked for a different company before who wanted me in front of the computer 8 to 5 every day and that was a challenge.

Most of the time it would be before kids for up, nap time, and after kids went to bed.
My homework would get done when husband was home and spending time with the kids.
