Understanding your baby's stool colors

I never knew there were so many shades of green until I had a baby....

Our pediatrician said that there isn't usually anything to worry about when it comes to poop colors. Black, white and red are big flags and you should call your doc right away if you see them, also anything with blood or mucus in it or if it's really hard and dry like rabbit poop.

He also gave us a handout all about poop. I never thought such a handout would come in so handy but it did. Charlie's poop changes a lot. One day it's like oatmeal, then it's like finger paint, then it's like... I don't even know what.

You should always contact your physician if you have questions.
