How much baby food?

I feel like I should know this but I just don't. That's been happening a lot lately.

Charlie is six months old and we have started him on baby food. I let him sit in the high chair at the table with us during meals. I feed him until he stops coming toward the spoon, which amounts to a few baby spoonfulls, then he'll eat a few ounces of formula and still does his normal formula through the day and night. I go by the "food before one is just for fun" saying.

So am I doing this right? Will his appetite for baby food just grow and I'll feed him more as we go? I have no idea what I'm doing.

It sounds about right. Tristen was always a big eater so I won't tell you how much he would eat before one! Lol as long as he is getting some and getting used to the taste and texture of things besides bottles I think that's good.
