How to ground your kids
Thought this was an interesting way to approach it.
I would give it a try. I think it is good for kids that are a little older. Mine are still too young to do half of that stuff... or read lol
My parents did do this to me one time I got grounded. lol.
I'm not a fan of this. Cleaning shouldn't be a punishment. Sure it's not fun either, but in my mind you want to teach them it's a responsibility, not a punishment.
That is an interesting approach. We've used a point system as an incentive for getting them to do their chores. It is labor intensive though keeping track of it all so it usually falls by the wayside, gets picked up again, and so on. However, our children do like that system A LOT because it comes with rewards they get to choose.
I like this one or changing the Wifi password--I've seen that elsewhere too.
I personally like this idea for when my kids get older.
Erik's kids have bad attendance and poor grades. They also dislike house chores. This would be something Erik and their mom could try to see if it produces good behavior.
