Article: Study Sees Bigger Role for Placenta in Newborns Health

My daughter found this article and shared it with me. I am quite intrigued. It doesn't indicate how large the study was that was done but the findings about the placenta and it's role in newborns health is very interesting.

Basically it is saying that the placenta can harbor bacteria, which can then affect the health of baby, even causing premature birth.

What do you think? Do you think this makes sense to you?
