Mops?

What kind of mop do you use? I mopped the floor today and re-remembered how much I hate my mop. It's great for sweeping but just awful at mopping. At the end I have to walk around on a towel to dry the floor because A) The Dog B) The Man and C) I don't like squeezing the water out of it by hand so there's always a ton of water left on the floor. Right now I use one of those libman sweeper things.

We are very.. eh ahem.. thrifty, people. So anything disposable is not an option, I hate wasting.

Advice?

I use one of those flat ones (larger than a swifter and by Cedarwood, I think) with a reusable pad that can be washed. I bought 3-4 extra pads so we can switch out after certain rooms because they are usually so dirty (Kitchen from children cooking and the farm entrance....ewww...muck boots!).

Why do you have to wring out the pad? I use a spray bottle with our Thieves cleaner and water and spray it on the pad....voila! No wringing out. I just toss the pad into the laundry pile to be washed and put on a new one.

I hate mopping. It's so gross. But I usually use the sponge mops. We also used to have a swiffer.
