Working from home is every mothers dream. At least mine
but sometimes it's not possible to do that and still make ends meet. We always end up living the kids behind for the nanny to raise, it hurts but truth is every one needs to know that they can be independent when it comes to money
I've done both, sometimes at the same time. I'm not against working outside of the home but as a single parent flexibility is a BIG deal. If my kids are sick there's no one else to take care of them. If they have an appointment, it's all me. I work from home so that I don't have to miss out on work in order to care for the kids too. It's a precarious balancing act, but I have gotten pretty good at it. ;)
Being away from family puts me and my husband in this position too, as we both work. We're investing serious money into someone else watching her daughter because that's the only way we can make it work. It's even worse for the single parents out there, I realize.
