Breastfeeding for first time moms

So my husband and I are really big into not using formula at all for our daughter but my neighbor came over and we were talking. She said good luck with that because its really hard for first time moms to even produce.
Is it true that I might have problems because I'm a first time so I should think about having formula around?

Feeling really discourage. FYI she also told me I would be able to have my baby natural because I wouldn't be able to put up with the pain. I have only talked to her twice, she doesn't know me.

Not true, I was so engorged by day 3 I had to pump to prepare my nipple for best latch but I am still breast feeding and I rarely pump unless I need a back up supply or I use it in her solid food. Just keep trying and when it gets tough and sore after the first 2 weeks that's when you gotta push through and consult the lactation specialist if you need their help.

As a first time Mom with my son I was able to pump 4-6 oz off of each side everytime about a week after I had him. So I know he was getting plenty to eat.

NO!!!!! I made so much milk it is not even funny! You have to be extremely determined and don't let anyone talk you down. I am at 2 1/2 months right now and the bond is amazing!! Supplementing can make your supply drop as well if you are on Fbook look up the group Breastfeeding Helps Private Talk Group. This page SAVED my life! These women are so supportive and help so much!!
