Kinda embarrasing...

So me and my SO have not been able to have the good stuff since I have had my son. he is 10 months old now and I went to my obgyn last month for a check up and asked him about it. he had a look and said it was a little dry and irritated in that region. but it also hurts to have the good stuff I was just wondering if this is normal?? my doctor said to put bag balm or desitin on and it should clear up. I was just wondering......

So you haven't had sex? It is very common for women to be dry after having a baby and especially while breastfeeding. The hormone differences cause you to make less vaginal mucous. It is recommended that women use a water soluble lubricant when having sex and use plenty of it. Water soluble lubricants are Astroglide, KY jelly, etc.

I give out Astroglide sample to all of my childbirth class and doula clients!

Totally normal. I was having this problem while I was pregnant but it went away after I gave birth.
