Your period while pregnant: what's normal?

During pregnancy you will not have a period. When you have a period the lining of your uterus is sloughing off. During pregnancy this lining stays on and creates a nice place for the baby and placenta to grow on. If you experience bleeding during pregnancy it is not your period and it is not normal. Any bleeding during pregnancy needs to be reported to your doctor. Many women experience bleeding during their pregnancy, your doctor will be able to determine the cause and if it is serious or not.
