Pain in/around ovaries in early pregnancy
It is common for women to experience pain in or around their ovary during early pregnancy. Each month your ovary forms a follicle, there is a cyst on the follicle that releases an egg. That egg is then fertilized by sperm, the fertilized egg implants and you are now pregnant. The cyst is still on your ovary and it will take a few days or a few weeks to shrink and go away. Some women will experience pain or discomfort from this cyst. As with any pain during pregnancy, call your doctor if something doesn't seem right or if you are experiencing extreme pain.
