When will baby understand playing peek a boo?

Lucas is just starting to understand this one and he's almost ten months old. He likes it better when we hide and pop out of somewhere as opposed to covering our faces and saying 'peek a boo!' But he's starting to giggle when we do it now. I think it depends on the baby, just like everything else. They will understand and do things at their own pace. :)

Do you remember when your baby started to enjoy this game? :D

            Hi Cassie,
my daughter is 10 months and she'll play peek a boo with me. like she will cover her face or i'll cover my face and she trys to move my hands to find me, its so cute. she can also clap her hands when i sing patty cake. if my memory serves correctly, she was clapping and playing peek a boo around 9 months. and now all i have to do or say is peek a boo, out the blue, and she bursts out laughing. i love it. and if her daddy hides and jump out and say peek a boo, omg, she dies laughing and it is so adorable. and yes babies do learn and play at their own pace!! :)
