I did not keep my maiden name

Oh phooey I'm just going to say it (I've started typing about four different times and restarted for fear of offending, but I'm just going to say it). Marriage is something created by God. When a woman is married she is supposed to leave her family-name included. I think it's a slap in the face to the man if a woman doesn't take his name.

Now..that being said, my maiden name is on my Facebook profile-but simply because I have a TON of cousins on my dad's side and most of them wouldn't have found me on Facebook if my maiden name wasn't on there-but my husband knows and agrees it's a good thing to have my maiden name on there for that reason.

Your last name reminds me of that movie called "Hidalgo"! Have you seen it?

Yeah..that's a whole other section. :) I kept my first husband's name after the divorce, but only because we were getting married within the year and I didn't want to have to go through changing my name on EVERYTHING two times in two years.

Yeah, my maiden name was easy 'Woody'.. my married name is mispelled as 'Hildalgo' and I'm sure is mispronounced all the time as in Spanish the 'H' is silent.
