My disgusting belly after c-section - help

This one made me sad. There is nothing disgusting about post-pregnancy bodies. I think every mom notices some differences in their body and that incision scar can be a sight sometimes. Honestly I wouldn't look at mine when the staples were in. My hand brushed across them once in the shower and it felt like a zipper and freaked me out. From then on I would call Ed to come in and take care of it.

They do make some lotions for scars, I'm not sure if they work or not because I haven't used them. As far as your belly goes, that's a very hard area to whip back into shape. Give yourself time, that's my best advice. Keep your water intake up, visit with a dietician and plan a diet that works for you. When your doc gives you the all clear, plan out a work out routine that won't put too much strain on your body. I healed quick but my doc didn't give me the okay to do any exercise until 6 weeks post op. Even then I was only allowed to do Yoga.. I hate Yoga.

Take it easy on yourself and enjoy your baby. Every mom and every body is different. Talk to your doctor (more importantly, LISTEN to your doctor) and you'll be where you want to be in no time ;)
