What do you think about your surrogate breastfeeding your baby?

If I had a surrogate mother give birth to my baby, for whatever reason, then I wouldn't have any problem with her feeding my baby as well. Her body is the one that carried, prepped, and birthed my baby; her chest is the one full of milk for the baby, so she should feed the baby! I would probably be right there so the baby could see me too and be there for bonding, but there would be no reason for me to be mad at her for feeding the baby. Unless I wanted the baby formula fed for some reason. So, I'd have absolutely no problem with it. :)

I couldn't do it. I have breastfed all my kids and I am currently nursing our youngest. I feal it builds a special bond between mom and baby. I would be ok with her pumping, but not doing the deed.

I am considering being a surrogate and I think that would honestly be hard and kind of uncomfortable. It's different when its your child. Breastfeeding is a bonding experience and it would be hard enough to have to hand the baby over after birth let alone spend every 2-3 hours feeding a baby day and night just to hand them back off each time. Its a hard reality knowing at the end of pregnancy knowing that baby you cared for for 9 months isn't yours to keep let alone caring for them as if they are your own post partum and facing the reality that its still not your baby.
