I used to write poetry, and I tried to write stories, but I don't have the patience for it. As for reading? I've bought books for 20+ dollars before, but it depends on the book. Most books I buy are between 4-8 dollars. As for long books? I've read books with 1000+ pages, and that's just fine. I don't like short books. Though as for series length? 14 books is too long (*cough* Wheel of Time *cough*) lol Trilogies are usually a good length.

Not a writer myself. I've spent $80 on a vintage collection of Edgar Allan Poe but I think any writer that tries to sell for that is a bit delusional.

With free books for Kindle out all the time I think writers needs to be careful with pricing their books. Especially if they're new and nobody knows who they are. I wouldn't pay for an author that I'd never heard of unless it came highly recommended.

As far as length.. hmm.. I don't think there's a specific number of pages as long as my attention is being kept.
