Adam Richman and #Thinspo

Have you guys heard this story? The guy who was the host of Man vs Food lost a ton of weight and tweeted something with #thinspo on it. Apparently this caused some drama between him and another person on Twitter because of the connotation of #thinspo being used by anorexics and bulemics. Richman shot back with some pretty ugly comments and now his new show is being shelved due to all the drama.

What are your thoughts on this story?

I can understand weight and body issues so I can see how and why he might have gone defensive....but he should have thought more about what he was writing before he clicked send because he is in the public eye. I feel sorry for him and his mistake is probably going to cost him his show by the looks of it, unfortunately a hard lesson to learn.

That's true but some people, friend or not, are just looking to get things started too. The wonderful world of the internet......seems worse than in person sometimes.

First off.. I loved his show before and I liked him.. obviously his crazy comments are awful and he was sorry for them.. but for starters.. what is wrong with the hashtag #thinspiration !??! I didn't know this was an "eating disorder" hashtag at all.. you can take it a million different ways.. I took as... inspiration to get in shape! I think it's nuts that people cannot even express themselves with a hashtag or quote about feeling good and it's taken the wrong way.. ugh.
