Do you text and drive?

My daughter will be driving soon, probably within the next six months. I have talked to her numerous times about not texting and driving. Because I don't want to be a hypocrite I make sure not to do it either. I know how tempting it is, but I just won't do it.

I have in the past but I usually hand over the phone to my daughter to text someone. I am very tempted to turn my phone off while driving going forward after hearing that is what someone else does and they put it and their purse on the back seat to keep the temptation away. But I get what you are saying and that is another reason for me to do this because my daughter is learning to drive. We don't even have the radio on while she is learning to save on distractions.

Never. Too dangerous and I don't want to risk my children or my life.

On a long road trip my MIL was driving for awhile and we slept. I was PISSED when I found out she was texting and taking photos of us while she was driving. And to top it off the roads were awful and it was snowing.

I have in the past, and almost wrecked both times. I learned my lesson. Not worth the risk.
