Advice...?

So, Lucas has been a teething machine lately, working on tooth number 9!!! But he's chewing like crazy on his hands! He's even leaving teeth marks, and I know he's obviously not hurting himself otherwise he would stop. But I just don't like the way it looks. I give him his teething ring a lot, which he loves, but he eventually goes back to his hand/fingers. Did your babies do this? Any advice, mama's?

Thank you!

I wish I could help. Sometimes a shirt that doesn't fit him works for a while with Tristen...he likes to chew on clothes. Lol he has actually left sores on his hands from chewing on them and still does it. I can't figure out how to make him stop.

Yup...he loves em! Lol and he has a favorite stuffed animal that he chews in too but mostly it's his hands.

You can try putting a drop of lavender essential oil on his fingers. The lavender will not harm him and is a flavor that takes quite a bit to get used to. I have heard some kids after a while growing a liking to lavender but most don't like the taste and will keep their fingers out of their mouth. Good luck. My little Kaylin has just started chewing on her fingers and already has large sores with scabs on them.

My daughter did this, not too much but she was chewing her finger some times and after I gave biscuits (made by Lindsay's recipe) started to chew her finger less times. Those biscuits are in the fingers shapes and are very easy to hold for them -Lindsay advised me how to make them, and they are great :))) I observed my daughter that sometimes is boredom of the same things , so I change or the recipe of the biscuits (I put bananas or not) , I have to be inventive with her :))
