Keeping the romance alive.

It's no secret that having children can put a damper on your romantic life. You may be too tired, or just too far into parenting mode to really think about how to keep the romance alive. Rest assured, your relationship can and probably will suffer for it. Even if you remember to do simple things like say "I love you", it can make a huge difference!

So true, Melissa! It takes weeks and months to find yourselves again sometimes post baby.. and of course it's all so different.. but as long as an effort is being mad.. I think things get going again. We do date nights after Monroe is put to bed, we say I love you ALL THE TIME :) and we do sweet gestures or things for one another really shows we put one another first!

We did have a major lull when Lucas was first born and those first months, but we got back to ourselves just fine. We did say "I love you" every day and always a kiss goodnight and night time snuggles. Now we're back to having sex on a more regular basis (seeing as Lucas can now play in his room and occupy himself for a bit haha) We're just good at what we do. ;)
