Article: Why Can't You Just Nurse With a Cover? An Answer in Photos

I really, really, really appreciate what this mom went through to show the answer in photos. I really, really, really do because it explains it all. The trouble, the hassle, etc. that just should not be a part of the beautiful relationship in nursing our children. I so remember those days....and that's the reason why you could have found me, more often than not, in our vehicle nursing because I was more relaxed and my baby was more relaxed.

What do you think of this mom's nursing story in photos? Did you have a similar experience if you nursed? If you didn't nurse, did you gain a better appreciation for what nursing moms have to endure?…

I read this earlier today. While she makes wonderful points, the target audience isn't going to read this. They aren't going to care about the reasons why or why not. They will find 100 different responses back to this such as "Well it would work for a baby, why would you breastfeed a toddler in public?" to "Well if you had started young it would probably work" which we know is a bunch of bullhockey.

The nasty comments won't stop until there is a shift in our society from thinking breastfeeding is not the norm to seeing it as the norm. That's going to take time.
