I give a little bit here and there but nothing nearly as much as $113/month. I had no idea that parents actually feel pressured by their children or feel the pressure of the competition from other parents. I want to raise my daughter differently than how I was raised. My mom gave financial gifts and big gifts as an apology for working so much and not being around. I want to be an example to my daughter and other future kids that I have certain values about money budgeting and saving.
