Was your baby planned or were they a surprise?

Any way you look at it, babies are wonderful. I know we all came to parenthood in our own ways, although some of us planned and some of us didn't.

Did you plan your pregnancy(ies) or was did you have a pleasant surprise?

We had made the decision to try for a baby after being together for 9 years and we were surprised it worked!

Didn't plan any of them but I wouldn't trade them for anything now.

Our baby was planned. We wanted to be surprised. Our daughter is 31 years old now and we have two grandkids. One boy his birthday was on the 5th of this month. He is 8 years old now and our granddaughter is 4.

with Olivia it was very planned. I had pcos. I had to take three rounds of fertility medicine and then I was on progesterone till week 13. The doctor gave us specific dates to have sex so we would be more likely to get pregnant. By the time we got pregnant sex wasn't very enjoyable. It felt more like a chore.
With Lola I was afraid of taking birth control again since it had taken a year to get pregnant and stay pregnant the first time, so she wasn't planned.

I would say a little of both. With our first, we had talked about our plan for the next year, which included buying a house, getting settled, saving money, THEN getting pregnant. Only...apparently as soon as we TALK about wanting to get pregnant EVENTUALLY, we get pregnant immediately... We went to a "family planning" appt with my OBGYN to talk about preparing to start our family (ya know in like 6+ months) and I was telling them about some weird PMS symptoms... like sore boobs... the nurse looked at me and was like "Uhhh, you should take a pregnancy test, go pee in this cup"... We sat in the room waiting for the doctor to come in and I keep saying "There's no way I'm already pregnant, we have had sex once since we talked about it, there's no way".... The doctor came in all smiles and said "Congratulations, you're pregnant, you really don't need this appointment!" We were happy, overwhelmed but happy. We were notorious in that office for our funny story for my entire pregnancy. Almost the same thing happened with this baby, we talked about trying to get pregnant in a couple months had sex that night, a few weeks later I was feeling weird and took a pregnancy test thinking for sure it would come back negative and I would get my period the next day... I went upstairs to do stuff for my daughter, came down and glanced at the test and it's flashing "PREGNANT" and I just cocked my head and went "huh, did not see that coming"... I tried to wait for my husband to come home from work to tell him, but couldn't wait and ended up calling him. Apparently, we just have to talk about babies to get pregnant... sooo if we decide to have number 3, we will NOT be talking about it until the exact MOMENT we are ready to have another one... no advance planning...

my husband and I planned our first daughter Flor, but we were sort of trying to conceive when I found out that I was pregnant with Isabella, so she was more of a surprise than anything

Both were a surprise to us. To be honest we weren't doing anything to prevent Sophia, and just figured if it happened, then it was meant to be. We had been together about 9 months before she was conceived. Alyssa, she's due in Oct, was a definite surprise, as I was on birth control. So I tell people all the time that BC isn't always effective lol! But again, she must have been meant to be <3

ours was planned, just not so soon. We had our minds set on letting me finish school and us getting married first. Then we got the shock of our lives when we found out I was truly pregnant. We have made it work and our little James is the center of our world <3

Bentley was planned at first but after a year of trying we decided to take some time away from trying and start again later. I went to my birth control appointment and poof Bentley was in my belly.
