It seems like we have quite a few new faces here, which I love!!!
New members and old members a like, feel free to introduce yourself! I will start.
I am a 36 year old single parent. By single I mean that I live alone and parent alone. I am not single relationship wise though, I have been in a relationship for about 8 years with a nice guy.
I am in school for my Bachelors in Elementary Ed with a concentration in Special Education. Part of my desire to enter into this field is because I seer how high need it is of professionals who are kind, compassionate and caring people.
I have two children, Mini who is 16 and Bub who is 10. They both have special needs but that doesn't define who they are. Mini is funny, silly, smart and amazingly creative. Bub is a tender heart, intelligent, thoughtful and "the man" according to him. ;)
If you have any questions feel fee to ask! And of course I would love to read your intro as well!
I have a career track in banking and my educational background is in behavioral health. I'm looking into a paralegal certificate or associates degree because I'm interested in the legal aspect of banking and just law in general.
I hope to become a working career mom but would be content as a stay at home mom pending on whether Erik can keep us afloat by the time I'm all healed up from delivering the baby. I'd like to have 2 more kids of my own to make our family complete. I'd like at least 1 boy, but I'm happy to be blessed with whatever God gives me.
I am also exploring the idea of resuming my midwifery studies and am apprenticing with a midwife for a trial period while I make my decision.
thank you guys for engaging us in such discussions, it makes me feel i have a family somewhere that always think of me.
I found out I was pregnant the day I was supposed to leave for boot camp. I was going to join the navy.
Right now, my husband and I are taking it one day at a time, getting to know each other better, and trying to get our lives together for baby Zion.
What did I miss?
