    I was going to echo drinking lots of water, slowly increase exercise if you haven't been active regularly, eat healthy meals and portions.

    Has your doctor indicated you needed to lose weight or is this your personal goals?
      My secter is to sleep at least 7 hours per night. When I sleep less - I eat more. It's the common rule (and diet and sport, of cource)
        I think the best way is to move. You don't have to exercise, but just don't sit all day. Keep your body moving and you will burn calories!

        The snacking part is tough. One thing I try to do is think about what I am craving. If I am craving ice cream for instance, I probably want something cold or something sweet. I try to switch it our for something a little less bad for me, like a real fruit fruit pop.
