Sometimes parents forget...

So after my birth control nightmare, my Mom tells me that none of the women in my family have ever been able to take birth control...ok would have been nice to know going into it. So now that the IUD caused so many problems we have been thinking about doing Essure implants. They implant coils into your Fallopian tubes and tissue forms around them and closes off your Fallopian tubes. Well after talking about it and me being scared to death about the procedure once looking it up and reading exactly how it's done, we decided last night against it. I told my Mom today what we had decided (keep in mind I have told her we were thinking about doing it) and she says "oh I'm so glad, I was hoping you wouldn't do it. Our family has a history of our bodies rejecting anything like that." Then proceeded to give me a VERY long list of all the procedures that had to be reversed. I asked her why she didn't think to tell me this before and she said "I guess it just slipped my mind" Oh Mom! So now I've decided that before I do ANYTHING I'm going to check family history with my Mom. Lol

I've decided I am going to start keeping a notebook for Tristen of all the things that are hereditary that our family has. That way when he is responsible for his own medical care and he asks questions I can just pull out the notebook! Lol

We had already decided to do the natural planning method again. This just confirmed it for us. Lol

Stay at home wife and Mom. I have an older step son that is an amazing young man. My husband and myself have a little boy and newborn girl. Balancing life isn't always easy but it's always worth it :-)
