Baby proofing your home

Autumn is on the move and into things in reach. I did a survey yesterday of all the things Autumn can get into, and I made a list to start baby proofing the house. Some of the items to baby proof the house I have, some I need to buy. I liked a lot of these child proofing products in this article and I can't wait to get started. I did wait too long to baby proof, but I couldn't believe she is an early crawler, so I slacked. Remember, its never too late to baby proof early.

I bought a kit that had a few different things in it. The cupboard latches were awesome, and the plug covers. The kids either took the door handle ones apart or figured them out. We have a baby gate at the top of the stairs and a long one in between doorways because of the fireplace hearth... We debated getting corner cushions but never did, that's really only a major problem for a few months until their balance gets good and they stopped using furniture to pull up.

Our cupboard doors were already done, so we put the electrical covers on and moved any cleaning things from the lower cabinets to the top shelf of our linen closet. And that's about it, until we got the door knob covers for our oldest when she got tall enough to open doors.
