Have you ever witnessed...

Have you ever witnessed another woman giving birth? Would you want to if you haven't?

I don't know that I would go out of my way to witness another woman give birth. If someone I was close to wanted me to be there for the labor and delivery I wouldn't hesitate.

What about you?

Yes, I've witnessed my ex coworker/good friend's birth of her youngest son. It was amazing and humbling! I felt really honored when she asked me. I had shared with her how hurt I felt when I found out the birth of my nephew and niece (at different times) was a week later than people at their church. Granted, it was their church family, but I thought I could have at least gotten an FYI text. I thought it was very cool that she let me be part of her son's birth.

I haven't seen it in person, but I did watch a video in school. Probably wouldn't have been so bad if she didn't have such a gigantic bush down there.

Yes, my sister and my best friends. When I'm done having children, I'm going to take classes to be a doula. To see the miracle of birth is amazing. And when the mom sees her baby for the first time, is awesome to witness.

I was with my best friend who was a single mother. She was giving birth and didnt have anyone else really with her. She was wanting to give him up for adoption but wasnt sure if she could go through with it or not. I stayed with her while she gave birth and all night long. That was one of the longest nights i have ever been through. Not complaining. The miracle of birth is wonderful . She went back and forth on her decision to give him up or not. I finally talked her into keeping him. She took good care of him .
