Excited for Labor?

I am really excited for labor, I know that sounds totally crazy, but I keep finding myself really looking forward to packing my hospital bag, getting my labor playlist made, going through the refreshers on breathing and laboring, etc. And it's not just the prep I am excited for, I am really hoping for a spontaneous labor this time (I was induced with baby #1) I keep replaying my first labor in my head and thinking how I would like to do things differently this time or the same... It's like now that the third trimester hit, I am super ready to HAVE this baby!!

I mostly just use Spotify radio stations, but I have might put together an actual list on my phone or iPod for active, pushing labor... Just so I know I have what I want. Not sure what will go on there yet, I lean towards kind of techno music when I have to be focused/motivated. Like this week at work I have my Aviici station on Spotify which I usually use for running to get me through my immense to do list before my "vacation"...

That's kind of my plan :) hahaha! It will be interesting to see how it goes this time around. With my first, she refused to engage, even with induction, so I pushed her from a +4, which took forever... I am hoping that since little man is sitting lower already that means he will be more inclined to engage in the process and I won't have to push him from my ribs all the way down. LOL

I was excited too. I became a doula after my first and I really wanted to try all of the new things I learned. By the time I was pregnant with my four I was excited and scared, I knew exactly what I was getting myself into.

I hope your labor goes exactly as you want it to!

Of course! But it is ok to have a dream birth in mind.

I hope you get the labor and birth you desire! I remember being excited too in different pregnancies for labor and birth to get started. I always looked forward to meeting my new little person.
