A question here..

Just of curiosity.. How has anyone dealt with temper tantrums from terrible twos stage? What are you tactics for dealing with it?

My one year old is the long of tantrums. I put him in his crib or the play pen...basically any smaller calm space. Typically within a minute or two it over and he's normal again.

Oh thanks. Yeah I was wondering if letting them cool off is the best solution cause sometimes it's difficult when you are somewhere like the grocery store lol

If we are at the grocery store I just ignore him. He did it at the doctors office today and I sat him on my lap and just continued talking to the doctor. Within a few seconds he got bored with screaming and stopped. Even at home I don't say anything to him. I just pick him up and put him in the crib or playpen then walk away. I wouldn't even do that if he wasn't so crazy. He's hit his head pretty hard a few times throwing a tantrum on the floor.

I try to ignore the tantrum the best I can. I make sure my child is in a safe place and then I just ignore it. I hate tantrums!!

Oh ok. Yeah that's sometimes can be challenging though when they throw themselves on the floor and hurting themselves in the process. Tantrums are no fun lol

Now I understand what your trying to say. Misunderstood. I had to do the same recently when Ava refused to get off the floor at Walmart and I had to pick her up while she continue her screaming. I decided to leave since I figured she was fussy for a reason

We usually just ignore or take toys/cartoons away as that's what the tantrums are usually about around here. In the store it's a lot harder because I can't lug a screaming four year old around and continue shopping and I'm certainly not going to stop and cater to him. I usually get down on his level and talk to him, make him look at me by holding his face.
