Yams for Fertility?

Okay, first I need to say that there is a difference between sweet potatoes and yams. You ladies probably already know that, lol, but I didn't. The first time I saw both signs in a grocery store I was like... uhh... That's the same thing? It's not.

Most sweet potatoes you buy in US grocery stores are just that, sweet potatoes. The orange ones are sweet potatoes.

Those candied yams in a can? Are a lie, lol.

Yams have a whiteish center like a normal potato. They are yummy, if you can find them.

Beyond being yummy, they can also help with fertility. (Though most foods that can help clear out toxins and regulate your blood sugar can.) Some people go so far as to say yams can help you conceive twins!

Supposedly they help stimulate ovulation.

On the plus side, the readily available sweet potato may also have a positive effect on fertility.

If nothing else, it's a great excuse to have sweet potato oven fries for lunch today! :D

What do you think?

Slice and bake works for me! I also like them in sweet potato casserole with cinnamon sugar and marshmallows on top.

Apparently in places where they are native and a common food source, the rates of twins are higher... Who knows if it's causal though. Tasty snacks at least, lol.
