Bye Bye Baby Weight!

Mamas.. you don't have to answer this.. but sometimes it motivation and sometimes it helps to realize it's okay to take your time in finding yourself again post baby.. I'll even share mine - How long did it take you to get back to post baby weight??

Honestly, I thought mine wouldn't be hard - I only gained 18 lbs really and didn't think it should take long.. surprise! Here at 5 months I have finally gotten right back to where I was pre Monroe :) And you know what? I was starting to embrace the slower journey.. it became mindful for me and I loved developing a healthier LIFESTYLE, as opposed to trying to lose it fast. Before I would step on the scale I would always repeat.. whatever the number is, you are just fine :) What about you?

    My body changed so much after having the kids. It took a REALLY long time, some crash diets, some even worse diets, some weight gain and then some decisions to just be healthy before I found myself where I am now.

    For me the goal is health. I will likely never get down to my pre pregnancy weight and I am okay with that. I just don't want to huff and puff when I go up and down stairs! So far, so good with that, I quit smoking so my lungs can exercise much better now!

      I gained 42 pounds with Lucas lol. I know, it's a lot!! And honestly, I lost it all very fast! 2.5 months after he was out I was back to my pre-baby weight. Now, it was distributed across my tummy and hips a little differently, but still! I was eating less, but healthy. I hardly ever weigh myself either haha. Everyone commented how I lost it all and got skinny again real fast. I thought it'd take me much longer than it did lol. :)

        I haven't lost it and I am four years postpartum since my last. I honestly find myself to busy or too tired. If I am not working, all I want to do is zone out or sleep. My sleep cycle has been upset for the past 18+ months with the newspaper route.

          With my first two kids, it was VERY fast. With my oldest, I was back into almost all my pre-pregnancy clothes within 3 weeks. A bit longer with #2. For my youngest, it took a LONG time, and I am still 5-10 lbs heavier than I was pre-baby. Then again, I really used way too skinny - around 120 lbs even though I'm almost 5' 8". I am now around 130 lbs, and I honestly look better b/c my body is a bit more womanly.
