Cell phones bad for male fertility

"Men who keep a cell phone in their pant pocket could be inadvertently damaging their chances of becoming a father, according to a new study. Previous research has suggested that radio-frequency electromagnetic radiation (RF-EMR) emitted by the devices can have a detrimental effect on male fertility. Most of the global adult population own mobile phones, and around 14% of couples in high and middle income countries have difficulty conceiving."

I'll definitely be asking my husband to keep his phone elsewhere. Will you be doing anything differently because of this news?

I have heard this before and am not sure what to think. My husband always carries his cell phone in his pocket....though we didn't have a cell phone until 2005 and it was only a track phone. He didn't have a cell phone until 2008 or thereabouts when we each got one, so maybe.....

I think for most it won't be much of an issue, since it's not a super high percentage. The article did mention how these effects could be crucial for men already bordering on infertility though. I'm not sure what to make of it yet, but I'll keep my fingers crossed that it makes a difference.

Always better to err on the side of caution.
