The Great Playpen Debate?

Who knew there was such a thing? This writer has apparently found it. I use a play pen at home for the baby to keep her safe from the big kids, kids forget to watch where they are going. They are kids. When we had our store I had a play yard similar to this to keep the toys in one place, blankets and pillows in one place for nap time. Keep them corralled while I was busy with a customer or unpacking a truck so they wouldn't wander into a highway. Did they like it? No, but it needed to be done. That $80 play yard was so nicely ruined by the cousins who trie to use it to corral their older children instead of toddlers and babies like it was meant to.... Hopefully I can still use it but I doubt it. But I digress. How do you feel about play yards and play pens?

I agree. After 24 months I would worry about it because they can climb. The older kids in the picture in the article clearly climbed in to keep baby company.
