Article: Parenting in America: Choose your parents wisely
I found this article somewhat interesting, until I read about the high school drop out....one of my sisters dropped out of school in eighth or ninth grade...however, she went on to get her GED after she had her son and he was in school and I just learned she became a LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) and just took a higher paying position at the age of 40...so I beg to differ there.
The thing is the article did point out some key differences but I do not necessarily think that what the Bethesada parents are doing is limited to them and their income class. Parents of lower income are capable and willing to do the same. I just think opportunities may be limited to income but there are frugal ways to make up for that at the library and free days at the museum, etc.
What do you think?
