Today Suddenly Got 800 Times Worse

Nina's 15 month check-up went well. She weighs 30 pounds, and is a tall girl (she's 15 months old wearing 3T and 4T outfits.) She doesnt talk yet but I'm not worried. I've babysat, read, and seen enough to know she'll form words when she's ready. As it is, she understands a good deal of words, gets her wants across, and has personality. She got a 3 in 1 combo shot (i forget what they were).

I get home in time for my husband's call, only to find out he had a seizure in the middle of the night , and of course, since he's deployed and navy doctors are terrible, their only answer for him was to shrug it off and drink more water. He's exhausted, his head is pounding in a pulsing, painful way when he moves, and he gets dizzy when standing up and sometimes when moving. So, now I get to worry forever.

He said he went and they kinda just looked at him and said that he must not be drinking enough water, which is their answer for most everything...knowing him, he's drinking plenty of water. He's been exercising, doing his job, etc...worst part is, he's not even close to being even halfway done with that deployment so who knows when he'll be able to see a REAL doctor.

I'm glad Nina's appointment went well.
That is scary about your husband! Military doctors are horrible a lot of times. If he's in a place where it's hot that could be part of the reason. I know when I get too hot I either have a seizure or pass out or both. That would he so scary and hard when you can't be there. Hopefully those doctors get their act together and figure out what is going on!

Nina sounds like she's doing well, how tall is she? I hope your husband gets better treatment and that is scary my sister has seizures too.

Great news in Nina! So sorry to hear about your hubby. Is there any way your doctor here would consult with him via skype or something?

Not really...we'd have to somehow schedule that, and we never know when he'll be in port until he's there. The internet available in port/on ship is never good enough to support skype for longer than 10 minutes at most, and he has to take liberty buddies with him if he leaves the ship, since that's policy. Plus, we don't have a regular doctor for ourselves, just Nina's pediatrician.
