Hello mommies! Do you have a Spanish section? I have a Mexican husband, and would like to practice my Spanish skills with other moms, and also discuss such questions as how I can teach my little ones speak both Spanish and English in our society. Any ideas on this?

Hello Everllaliz! Nice to meet you! I don't really need to translate anything, just want to engage in conversations in Spanish! But not sure that it will be in accordance with the policies of this website. Am I right? And maybe it's not very polite to speak any other languages while others won't understand us?

Well 1st things 1st you most agree with your partner what language will be spoken in the house, in my house for example non of the kids grandmother's speak English so we speak to them both, we haven't had no problem so far...

you can practice with me if you wish if I can help I sure will. My husband is from Mexico and I am 20 bi-lingual as well. I care for all 5 of my sister-in-laws kids we have been together for six years and I love to surprise him with traditional dinners . We are trying a new chapter so not pregnant yet but getting everything in a row slowly.

I learned a lot about Spanish because my ex didn't want me to learn it . This upset me I don't believe in barriers I believe in hope and learning, so I learned Spanish

Carlene, how do you mean... Did you go to school and learned Spanish over there or how did it work? It's quite difficult to learn anything on your own... I spent some time in Mexico with my husband and just had to start speaking. But if I had to learn it by myself would be a lot more difficult...

I understand its challenging but you can do it . after all I did >>> I was told that I did not have enough intelligence to learn . I love to cook the food and the music and the people, and most of all the language. I am here anytime if you need me I will help someone else learn all that I can . My Spanish has gotten me several good jobs translating. and I love the feeling of being able to help someone who may truly need it...
