Can you decode your baby's facial expressions?

Fear
Discomfort
Joy
Anger
Boredome
Distress
Facination

All these codes can be frustrating for some parents and other's are right on cue when it comes to their baby's facial expressions. If you wear sunglasses, take them off and use direct eye contact. This is baby's way to learn about his/her environment. Show a happy face when a new face enters the room to show baby she/he has nothing to fear. Name your face by sitting in front of the mirror with baby and express happy and sad faces, because infants study our faces and it can effect their mood. When you and your S/O argue, go to another room and discuss it quietly as this can have long term effects on your baby. Remember the first 3 yrs are a crucial time for development, mentally, physically and emotionally.
