Comments Comments

This being my first pregnancy, I'm new to everything. But, I really don't understand why people feel the need to make a comment about my belly every Sunday at church. It's the same people that I see every week, but it's like they feel compelled to say "wow you're really getting big, when are you due?!" I'm only 25 weeks and I've gained 10 lbs so far, but it makes me feel self conscious!

Some people think it's a compliment. Don't be self conscious, your belly is supposed to be big, there's a tiny human in there. :D

Some people do that, they feel compelled to say something maybe because they're excited but you could tell them how you feel if you wanted.

See I'm so sarcastic no one ever said anything about my belly lol I think I had a few friends that said my baby bump looked cute or somethig like that but there was NO mention of my belly. If they keep doing it I would just (with a smile on your face lol) pretend that you have no idea what they are talking about. Like you have no clue that you are pregnant...it quickly takes the fun out of the pregnant belly comment thing and normally gives them a little laugh :-)

If I mention someone's bump, I've always meant it as a compliment... I think bumps are beautiful! I'm sure they mean no malice, but if you're uncomfortable, maybe you can tell them gently.

People generally say the opposite to me...which makes me kind of sad. I expected people to say that I had a big belly and such, but they never do. It is always, "I wouldn't believe you're almost 7 months, it doesn't show at all."
I am glad that random people don't rub my belly, though. lol
