I'm in labor!!!

So today I went to my normal obgyn appointment and when he did my exam he told me that I am 2 cm dilated! He wants me to go to the hospital tomorrow and if I have progressed more then he is admitting me. The funny thing is is that I have only been having minor pains.. I'm a bit nervous. What was it like when you were in labor?

I remembered with my first one.. I was pretty calm and anxious. I hope you have a smooth and calm labor!!

With both my pregnancies I had a very stress free labor/delivery. No worries and everything went so smoothly. I hope u have the same...CONGRATS!!!

It is usually slow at the beginning and by the time you reach 6-7, if not before, the contractions get stronger.

It'll go slow for awhile. Walk and do those squats I mentioned on a different post to get her moved down. Drink lots of water, make sure your bag is packed and rest up. you'll need your energy.

Oh congrats and I was induced and had to have penicillin injected in me cuz I tested positive for strep b and then I had my son naturally (not my choice they messed up my epidural). I can say it felt like I was needing to find a toilet and go use it to have the biggest bowel movement ever. Sry if this is tmi but that's the only way I can describe it and also it felt like every bone was snapping at the same time! Hope your labor and delivery goes smoothly!

I was induced with my daughter after my water broke but labor never started, so I don't know what it's like. Since I was already at the hospital and had to be induced it sped everything up, so I went from absolutely nothing to really being in pain pretty quickly, of course as soon as that happened I had an epidural, which I was planning on having anyway, so it really was a short amount of time that I actually felt any pain. Which was how I wanted it lol. One thing I will say about the epidural is that it made pushing more difficult, you dont realize how difficult it can be when you can't feel anything from the waist down, plus I had been awake for over a day and a half by the time I had her. She came early and I had worked earlier in the day and had my water break at about 8pm lol.

Keep us updated on how you are doing!!!

Oh congrats! I never actually went into labor because I had a planned c-section but I guess while I was there I had pretty strong contractions but I had no idea. They had me hooked up to monitor them and would ask me if I felt them because they were strong and I was clueless. lol You will do great! I am so excited to see pics of your little one!!!

Each pregnancy and woman is different. I was induced but never felt any contractions. I had zero pain (and that was without an epidural). I hope you had an easy delivery/labor.

Hey everyone! I haven't been on here much since I had my baby girl!! She was born august 6th at 7:38 am 6lbs and 2.8 ozs 19 inches long! In labor for 20 hours and it took 20 mind to push her out when I was finally dialiated!! I had the epidural because the hospital told me I may need to have a cesarian because I wasn't dialiating but once I had that I dialiated within and hour and a half and then had my precious little baby!
